Join our team of presenters from Duncan & Toplis and Brown&Co for our co-hosted Farming Matters: All Change webinar.

Our speakers will discuss the challenges and innovations for a typical farming business with a particular focus on the current changes affecting this sector – including changes to subsidies. The event will close with a question and answer session with our panel of speakers.

Nicholas Smith, Head of Tax at Duncan & Toplis, will be sharing his thoughts on post-COVID Capital Taxes and the changes that lie ahead for agricultural businesses and owners. Providing an insight into where the Chancellor may seek to recover some of the government’s recent borrowings and exploring the possibility of new and innovative taxes.

Daniel Worthing, Investment Manager at Brooks Macdonald, will be providing an insight into the stock market in 2021. He will share his view on the drives of markets over the course of the next 12 months, including the implications of increased government support due to the pandemic and the role that green energy might play in the year ahead.

Martin Herbert, Partner of Brown&Co, will be sharing a land agents perspective of the changing times. He will give an insight into the changes and challenges that will affect the industry as we move into the post Brexit era covering the changes that will flow from the Agriculture Act and other external factors.

Paul White, Partner of Brown&Co, will provide a dose of realism about where we are in mainstream agriculture, combining some of the challenges that lie ahead with the aim of highlighting opportunities and areas we are encouraging our farming businesses to look at.
