Catch up on this session hosted by our head of HR and payroll, Heidi Thompson, with Damon Tunnicliffe and Katy Anderson for the latest legal updates, guidance and support on the key people related changes that are in place from 1 April.

Payroll manager, Damon, provided a comprehensive overview of the latest payroll legislation affecting employers, with a particular focus on the impact of the new Social Care Levy. He provided key data, legislation and support to manage these changes.

HR adviser, Katy, focused on working time regulations including holiday pay, alongside clarity for what all employers must ensure is in place in respect of contracts and key policies with practical guidance. In addition, Katy analysed the latest employment legislation.

Head of HR and Payroll for Duncan & Toplis, Heidi Thompson is responsible for heading up the respective internal teams as well as these services for clients.

Heidi is a Fellow of CIPD, with a Master’s Degree in HR Management and a Diploma in Education and Training. Heidi has over 25 years’ experience working in both the private and public sector for a variety of different companies including manufacturing, oil and gas, investment banks, facilities management, charities, Government bodies, schools and healthcare.

Heidi works closely with senior management and Boards advising on HR and Leadership Strategy as well as having excellent employment law knowledge and is able to translate the complex subject of employment law into language that managers can relate to. She is also an experienced teacher having taught HR and employment law courses, including CIPD and ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) accredited courses.
