A Reflection of 2018

What a year 2018 has been! Our team members and clients have enjoyed a hugely successful year… and there’s still a month to go!

We’re entering 2019 with four new awards, including scooping Outstanding Advisory or Client Project of the Year at the British Accountancy Awards, and the Investors in Customers Gold Award.

As well as winning our own accolades, we’ve been proud to sponsor awards across the East Midlands to celebrate the success and accomplishments of businesses of all sizes at the East Lindsey Business Awards, the Lincolnshire Healthcare Awards and Lincolnshire Media Business Awards.

Supporting the local community is also at the heart of what we do. We’ve continued our sponsorship of Grantham Town FC, started a year-long sponsorship of triathlon training company 100% Tri, raised money for important charities such as Beaumond House and supported Newark Book Festival. Our 28th annual charity golf day also raised £3,500 for the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

We also supported leading East Midlands law firm Wilkin Chapman to facilitate a multi-billion pound merger between Today’s Group and Landmark Wholesale.

Out and about, we hosted events for clients focusing on a range on important topics such as Making Tax Digital,  buy-to-let and much more. Our tenth annual Directors’ Briefing also brought together 200 business leaders from across the area.

We had a great range of speakers for the event, including vice president of the British Chamber of Commerce Sarah Howard, senior FX strategist for HSBC Dominic Bunning and Liza Robbins, CEO of Kreston International.

Meanwhile, we’ve welcomed new colleagues across our offices as well as HR and probate services.

Looking ahead, the introduction of Making Tax Digital legislation and Brexit both present unique challenges for businesses up and down the country, but we’re confident that businesses can also make the most of the unique opportunities that they enable with the right financial advice.

We can’t wait to see what successes 2019 brings for our team members and clients.

The group offers accountancy, tax and business advice, audit and assurance services, HR, Payroll, wealth management, IT services, legal and probate services and provides business turnaround support to SMEs. The business has 413 employees, of whom 65 are currently engaged in professional training.
