We are once again reaching out to our local community to help us spread Christmas joy by collecting presents for disadvantaged children across Lincolnshire.
Our yearly Christmas present collection, now in its eighth year, encourages our team members, along with local businesses and individuals, to donate new and unused gifts to support children aided by social care services in the area.
We are appealing for new and unwanted gifts, along with monetary donations, to be donated at any of our offices across the East Midlands including Lincoln, Skegness, Boston, Grantham, Loughborough, Louth, Melton Mowbray, Newark, Sleaford, Spalding, and Stamford.
Toys, games, and clothing suitable for children aged 0-18 are all accepted, as long as they are new or unused and in their original packaging.
Tax Director, Sarah Holford, who is leading the appeal, said:
“We’re very proud to, once again, launch our Christmas present appeal to support vulnerable children across our region. With the rising cost of living, I appreciate many are finding the current times difficult which is why I’m delighted that colleagues and clients have asked if our annual present appeal is going ahead this year.
“There are so many disadvantaged members of our community that will see their finances squeezed more than ever this Christmas. Our appeal helps to ease that strain slightly by ensuring that children from disadvantaged families have a present to open on Christmas morning. This scheme is really close to my heart as each year these presents make a real difference to children and their families.
“We give all of the presents we receive directly to the Lincolnshire Care Protection Service, who then deliver the gifts to those children in need throughout the county. We are urging everyone who can afford it to consider buying one extra Christmas present when doing their shopping this year. If you do, you’ll be helping to make this a Christmas to remember for vulnerable children across Lincolnshire. Any donation, big or small, will really help to make a difference.”
If you would like to take part in our Christmas present appeal, please bring your donation to any Duncan & Toplis office by Friday 2 December. To find your local Duncan & Toplis office, or to ask any questions about our appeal, please contact us.
