New office to mark five years in Loughborough

Duncan & Toplis | 22 December 2020

We are ending 2020 with a bold investment into Loughborough after five years in the town.

We opened our first office in Leicestershire in 1987 and opened our Loughborough office in 2015 with the acquisition of Marsh & Moss accountants.

Now, we are expanding our presence in the town and the county by moving into a new office to support our ambitious and growing team.

The Loughborough office supports hundreds of businesses across the area, from Gotham to Mountsorrel and beyond. As well as having important local knowledge, the Loughborough team works alongside more than 400 colleagues across the East Midlands to help clients unlock a wide range of specialist services with the support of industry leading experts in accountancy, business advice, legal services, IT, HR and more

We are also part of the Kreston international network of accountants, which means our clients can gain the support of local experts in 113 countries across six continents.

Our Loughborough team will now be based at 3 Princes Court on Royal Way in the town - the former home of local newspaper, Loughborough Echo.

“When we acquired our Loughborough office in 2015, our ambition was to ensure that we retained the dedication and personal touch of a small, local practice while also unlocking the huge range of advantages of being part of a larger company with global connections. Five years on, we’re making the next big step of supporting our future growth with new premises in the town so we can help more companies and individuals to reach their goals and fulfil their potential.

“Of course, at a time when people are working from home as much as they can - including our own team - I can understand why it might come as a surprise to see us investing in office space. But this reflects just how far we’ve come and just how serious we are about the future of our business in Loughborough and Leicestershire. 2020 has been a tough year, but it’s now our collective responsibility to move forward, supporting one another to thrive, not just survive.

This area is one of the best places to do business in the country and we want to help businesses across all sectors to seize every opportunity and bounce back stronger than ever.”

We support 4,500 businesses and individuals across the East Midlands. We have held the title of ICAEW East Midlands Large Accountancy Firm of the Year since 2017 and this year we are a national finalist for the 2020 Rural Business Awards as well as being shortlisted for the Leicestershire Business Awards in recognition of our work to support businesses during the pandemic

The new office marks the end of our 95th year, during which we have helped our clients to overcome one of the most difficult economic crises in our history.
