| Duncan & Toplis | 17 May 2021

Our probate specialist, Amy Codd, has qualified to become a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

STEP is the international professional body for advisers specialising in trusts, inheritance and succession planning. Its members exemplify high standards of professional standards and are subject to well-regarded codes of conduct.

STEP’s mission is to inspire confidence in families planning their assets across generations by setting and upholding high professional standards, informing public policy, promoting education and connecting practitioners globally to share knowledge and best practice.

Full STEP members, known as TEPs, are internationally recognised as experts in their fields, with proven qualifications and experience.

Amy Codd, Private Client Solicitor, Director and Head of Legal Services said that joining STEP will give clients greater confidence in the team’s guidance:

“Trust is extremely important when it comes to inheritance and succession planning so having the support, guidance and advice of a professional who’s an expert in the field can make all the difference.

“As qualified TEPs, clients can be assured that the service they receive from our team is of the highest professional standard, giving them peace of mind and confidence.”

Amy Codd trained as a solicitor after working in management roles in the NHS. She has worked at a number of leading legal firms in the region and is now a private client solicitor and associate of Duncan & Toplis Legal Services.

Amy's STEP membership demonstrates the level of expertise and professionalism clients can expect from our team. Planning for the future can be challenging, but expert support and guidance from a trusted partner can make the process much easier for you and your loved ones.
