The Duncan & Toplis Foundation is delighted to extend its support to Nottinghamshire Clubs for Young People

| The Duncan & Toplis Foundation | 17 May 2024

The Nottinghamshire Club for Young People are a not-for-profit organisation that supports young people with varying disabilities providing fun and enhancing activities, residential opportunities and personal and social development programmes.

The club, originally formed to meet the needs of young men, has evolved to work with all young people in Nottinghamshire, especially the most disadvantaged and vulnerable in today’s society, to become healthy, safe, confident and successful.

Lisa Barker, CEO of the Lenton-based club said:

“We deliver a host of activities and offer various facilities at our base, the Monty Hind centre, one of which is a fully fitted kitchen and dining area. This not only equips young people with the skills needed later in life but also allows for the provision of meals for the wider community.

“The grant from The Duncan & Toplis Foundation will allow us to purchase some new, much-needed additional kitchen equipment for the groups of young people learning life skills for example an air fryer, colour-coded chopping boards and knives.

“We would like to thank the Foundation for the contribution towards our new kitchen equipment. “

Niall Kingsley, Director of Duncan & Toplis, and Trustee at The Duncan & Toplis Foundation, said:

“Nobody can argue that life skills are an invaluable commodity, so clearly we had no hesitation helping the Nottinghamshire Club for Young People to help improve the life quality of young people and the wider community.”
