Kay Botley, Business Services Director and Head of Healthcare, has been appointed to the board of the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (AISMA). The appointment strengthens specialist healthcare expertise available from Duncan & Toplis to medical practices across the UK.
AISMA is a leading network of accountancy firms specialising in advising healthcare professionals and medical practices across the UK. Kay’s appointment reflects her extensive experience supporting healthcare clients and further reinforces the strength at Duncan & Toplis in this highly specialised sector.
Kay joined Duncan & Toplis in 2001 and has developed a significant client portfolio across the healthcare landscape, working closely with GP practices and healthcare organisations throughout the Midlands, East Anglia and beyond. She provides strategic, long-term financial guidance, helping practices maximise income, manage tax obligations and make informed decisions with confidence.
In addition, Kay plays a key role in producing Duncan & Toplis’ annual healthcare benchmarking report, which enables practices to evaluate their performance against regional and national peers and identify opportunities for improvement.
Her appointment comes at a time when healthcare providers continue to face increasing financial and operational pressures, including workforce challenges, funding constraints and evolving regulatory requirements. Duncan & Toplis remains committed to investing in specialist expertise to support healthcare organisations as they navigate this complex landscape.
Kay officially joined the AISMA Board on 1 May 2026.
