As we continue the biggest period of growth in our company’s history, we’re excited to announce that Derby-based accountancy firm Underwood Green will soon be joining Duncan & Toplis.
Once the merger is finalised and approved by regulators, Underwood Green will rebrand as Duncan & Toplis, with all team members - including directors Gary Underwood and Richard Green - remaining in their existing roles. We’ll also be taking on the firm’s purpose-built offices at Pride Park, Derby.
The values of Underwood Green align closely with our own and the deal will allow us to broaden our service offering to our clients, expanding Duncan & Toplis into new markets as we begin a new century of supporting businesses and individuals.
Damon Brain, CEO of Duncan & Toplis, said:
“For the first time, Duncan & Toplis will have an office in Derbyshire. We’ve supported clients in Derby and Derbyshire for many years but, with the acquisition of Underwood Green, we’ll be welcoming a new fantastic team who are based in the city itself.
“Gary, Richard and the Underwood Green team have a terrific reputation in the area and we’re two like-minded businesses. I’m looking forward to welcoming them to our team and being able to offer existing Underwood Green clients the full range of Duncan & Toplis services.”
Gary Underwood, director and co-founder of Underwood Green, said:
“Joining forces with Duncan & Toplis - one of the largest accounting and business advisers in the UK - is a great opportunity for us at Underwood Green and our clients. Through this deal, we’ll be able to offer a wider range of services and even greater support, with all of our clients continuing to receive the excellent level of service they expect from us.”
Richard Green, director and co-founder of Underwood Green, added: “Right from the start of our talks, it was clear the values and passion of Duncan & Toplis align closely with our own. We're excited about the incredible benefits this will bring, not only for our clients but also for our team, who will gain fresh opportunities to grow within an ambitious and fast-growing group."
The agreement with Underwood Green is subject to regulatory approvals and is due to be completed in the near future.
