Stuart Brown, Director at Duncan & Toplis, has been appointed as a member of the board of a leading international accountancy membership body.
He has been invited to join The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) on its Members and Commercial Board.
In his new role, Stuart will help to steer the development, operation, and implementation of policies and actions that will impact the organisation's almost 200,000 global members.
98% of all global brands are supported by members of the ICAEW, ranging from software start-ups, airlines, and high street banks.
The news follows Stuart’s appointment as a member of the ethics advisory committee for the influential accountancy body in 2021 and signals a sizeable increase in his personal involvement with the industry-leading organisation.
In addition to supplying advice on precedent-setting cases and developing of new guidance within the organisation, Stuart will now be actively helping to shape policy decisions that will impact organisations around the world.
Speaking about his appointment to the ICAEW Members and Commercial Board (IMCB), Duncan & Toplis director and head of technical compliance, Stuart Brown said:
