Private Tax Manager

| Full-time | Multiple locations

We are looking for a Private Tax Manager to be instrumental in delivering UK private tax support and advice to clients at our Newark, Lincoln, Grantham, or Stamford locations.

What does this role involve?

As a Private Tax Manager, you will be a technical expert within your respective fields both internally and externally, utilising opportunities to share knowledge and expertise to increase overall performance.

Client experience

You will interact with clients on a daily basis at several levels to identify the more complex problems faced and provide solutions, whilst ensuring client relationship managers are well informed and receive regular updates on project progress, along with identifying and escalating any issues as necessary.

You will be accountable for managing a full portfolio to the highest standard, using knowledge and skills to add value to the client by cross-selling.

Team management

As part of the management team, you will oversee and develop team members by setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.  You will hold regular one-to-ones with individual team members, providing timely feedback and clear development plans.

Teamwork

You will work effectively in collaboration with other team members to scope out client requirements and ensure that assignments are carried out efficiently within specified budgets.

You will work with other directors and managers of the team for individual client assignments, ensuring that they are well informed and receive regular updates on progress, along with identifying and escalating any issues as necessary.

Skills and experience

We encourage candidates of all backgrounds and capabilities to apply, although it’s essential that your values and experience align with this role’s key responsibilities. To be successful you will:

  • have experience in inheritance tax, capital gains, allowances, trusts, income tax, and incorporation work
  • be able to manage team members
  • be highly organised and be able to effectively manage your time
  • be ACA, ACCA, CTA, or ATT qualified with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience
