We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Fee Earner to join our growing Legal Services Property team.

The successful candidate will manage and deliver residential property transactions efficiently, ensuring a high standard of client service while progressing matters from instruction through to completion.
The position requires close collaboration with internal teams and compliance functions, while also maintaining regular contact with external parties to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
You will play a key role in building strong client relationships through clear, proactive communication and a personable approach. You will ensure clients are kept fully informed, understand each step of their transaction, and feel supported from instruction through to completion.

Manage a caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring all transactions progress efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Provide clear, timely, and professional advice to clients, maintaining high levels of client care and communication throughout the transaction.
Conduct all necessary legal work, including drafting contracts, reviewing title documents, raising enquiries, and reporting to clients and lenders.
Liaise effectively with all parties involved in transactions, including clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors, to facilitate the smooth progression of matters.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and relevant legislation, including anti-money laundering (AML) procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation using the company’s case management systems.
Meet billing targets and contribute to the financial performance of the department through effective time recording and fee generation.
Identify and mitigate risks within transactions, escalating complex issues where necessary to protect client and company interests.
Proven experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently from instruction to completion.
Strong knowledge of property law, conveyancing procedures, and Land Registry requirements.
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive) or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrable experience handling sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and leasehold transactions.
Sound understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, including AML obligations.
Experience in working with case management systems and maintaining accurate electronic files.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to meet billing targets and contribute to departmental performance.
Excellent client care experience, with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
Experience liaising with third parties such as estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to progress transactions efficiently.
