| Duncan & Toplis | 31 March 2023

The philanthropic arm of our group has made its first round of grants supporting multiple good causes across the East Midlands.

The Duncan & Toplis Foundation was established in 2022 to lead fundraising initiatives and increase the impact of the Duncan & Toplis team’s charitable activities.

A variety of local charities will benefit from the grants, including Base 51, Beaumond House, Boston Girlguiding, Children’s Bereavement Centre, Newark Book Festival, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, Tonic Health, and Sue Young Cancer Support.

Managing Director Adrian Reynolds, who is also the chair and a trustee of the Foundation, said:

“Funding provided by the Duncan & Toplis Foundation is guided by core criteria, with the focus on small to medium-sized organisations in the East Midlands that can benefit from grants of up to £1,000.

“We are delighted to be able to make our inaugural round of grants to such deserving causes in our neighbourhoods, achieving the Foundation’s objective to contribute to our local communities that are supporting sustainable development and demonstrating the behaviours that reflect our core values.”

Duncan & Toplis is one of the largest accounting and business advisers in the East Midlands, employing more than 400 people and supporting more than 12,000 businesses and individuals. The organisation has been supporting local people and communities since it was established in 1925 through both its work supporting clients and its charitable efforts.

The Duncan & Toplis Foundation primarily supports initiatives that seek to improve the quality of local communities, with causes such as the provision of food and shelter, mental health, palliative care and youth employment among those given priority support.

Focus areas for support are determined each year and organisations and charities can request support through a simple online form. 95% of all money raised will be directed to UK-based charities, with the remaining 5% supporting international charities.
