The Duncan & Toplis Foundation supports local church

| Duncan & Toplis | 10 January 2024

The Duncan & Toplis Foundation is pleased to extend its support to local church, St John the Baptist.

The grant will be used to support the building of a new community hall next to St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Melton Mowbray. The hall will benefit the whole local community as well as parishioners.

Jo Anderson, Parish Administrator at the church said:

“We are a Catholic Church who want to be more supportive of our local community.

The additional funds received from the Foundation will enable us to build the hall and consequently enhance our outreach work locally. It will be used for our own religious purposes, and will also be a welcoming space for all members of the community through activities such as lunches for the elderly, educational classes, social events, and similar activities.”

“Every donation we receive allows us to continue and enhance our work in the community, and the Church is extremely grateful for the donation from Duncan & Toplis towards the building of our new community space.”

Duncan & Toplis director and trustee of the Duncan & Toplis Foundation, Alistair Main, said:

“Churches have always had an important role to play in the lives of many people in local communities, so we’re proud to support St John the Baptist Catholic Church in achieving one of the Foundation’s primary objectives – to support deserving causes to provide community spaces.”
