Harvesting a prosperous relationship with Lincolnshire Field Products

Having seen significant expansion since they first acquired a farming business in 1997, Robin Hancox, Martin Tate, and Aubrey Day continue to be greatly involved in the day-to-day running of Lincolnshire Field Products.

The company operates on farmland surrounding Spalding, branching out as far as Boston, Sleaford, and Wisbech. This land spans over 6,500 hectares and is a mix of rental, owned, and contract farming arrangements that facilitate maximum use of the space.

The business benefits from having excellent land quality - with the majority being Grade 1 silt. This allows for a high value of crops to be grown, enabling them to be one of the largest independent producers of potatoes, sugar beet, and brassicas in the UK.

With the company having used several of Duncan & Toplis’ services over the years, Robin Hancox, Managing Director at Lincolnshire Field Products, said:

“We used Duncan & Toplis’ payroll service for many years before partnering with them, and we recognised how reliable they were. It was a natural progression to ask them to be involved with our auditing process.”

“They are very thorough and have always met the timescales required, responding to government regulations in such a considerate and professional manner. What could otherwise be a very intrusive process for our business, is a very positive experience as a result of working with their team.”

“The team has also assisted with the company restructuring which works brilliantly for us. It was done very efficiently and cost effectively. We love that they are a local company with a wide skill set. ”

“We feel that we share similar values to Duncan & Toplis - I only have positive comments about working with them.”

Alistair Main, Director at Duncan & Toplis, thoroughly enjoys working with Lincolnshire Field Products:

“We have been acting as primary advisers to Lincolnshire Field Products for three years now. We manage all their audit and corporation tax compliance matters, as well as previously advising and implementing a company restructure.”

“They are a great team to work with. They allow us to get really involved in the business which helps us to understand their goals and how to assist in achieving them.”

“We are also involved in many different community projects together, including being on the Steering Group for the Fresh Produce Network Lincolnshire which helps drive the infrastructure for fresh produce business in the county.”

“It is a pleasure to work with such a successful, local business. We look forward to seeing them continue to thrive in the coming years.”
